Rıza Kocaoğlu could not attend the hearing due to health reasons! He underwent surgery
Actors Halit Ergenç and Rıza Kocaoğlu, who were on trial on charges of "false testimony" in the Gezi protests investigation, have been sentenced to prison. Kocaoğlu, who could not attend the final hearing due to surgery, had his sentence deferred, just like Ergenç.
Rıza Kocaoğlu was unable to attend yesterday's (May 23) final hearing in the case where he and Halit Ergenç were being tried on allegations of giving "false testimony" within the scope of the Gezi protests investigation involving manager Ayşe Barım.
The court sentenced Halit Ergenç to 1 year, 10 months, and 15 days in prison, and Rıza Kocaoğlu to 1 year and 8 months in prison. The announcement of the verdict was deferred.

It was learned that the reason for Kocaoğlu's inability to attend the hearing was health issues. The famous actor underwent surgery on the day of the hearing.
Sharing a photo from his hospital bed, Rıza Kocaoğlu said, "My surgery went well, thank God, thank you all very much."
