Announcing his departure by saying, “My 29-year working life at the SHP and CHP, which was entrusted to me after the 21-year working life of my late father Yalçın Bozkurt at the CHP and SHP, has come to an end,” Barış Bozkurt used the words, “Goodbye, FATHER'S hearth, goodbye, my big family.”

Barış Bozkurt announced the news of his departure with the following words:
“My working life at the SHP and CHP, which was entrusted to me after the 21-year working life of my late father Yalçın Bozkurt—which began with the late Chairmen İsmet İnönü and continued with Bülent Ecevit, Erdal İnönü, and Deniz Baykal—and which continued for 29 years with Mr. Murat Karayalçın, Mr. Hikmet Çetin, Mr. Altan Öymen, the late Deniz Baykal, and Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has come to an end. I will carry the bitterness of saying goodbye to my FATHER'S hearth, the Republican People's Party, and the honor of having been a member of this great family for the rest of my life.
