Salih Uzun and Cemal Enginyurt, who resigned from the Democrat Party, have joined the CHP
İzmir MP Salih Uzun and Istanbul MP Cemal Enginyurt, who resigned from the Democrat Party, have announced that they have joined the CHP.
Istanbul MP Cemal Enginyurt and İzmir MP Salih Uzun, who were elected as members of parliament from the CHP's lists in the general elections, have resigned from the Democrat Party.
Salih Uzun announced on Halk TV, alongside Cemal Enginyurt, that they have joined the CHP.

Stating that their choice was also related to current hot topics, Uzun said, "We were already elected as MPs from the CHP lists. We had two options before us. We could have continued as independents. If we were going to join a party, we thought the CHP, from whose lists we were elected, was the most correct option. But the main point is this: a wave of lawlessness is coming upon us in plain sight. We are facing moves to divide and fragment the opposition. We had to develop a stance against this."
Uzun also stated that they would attend the CHP's group meeting to be held on Tuesday.
