The CHP won the Sancaktepe Municipality, which had been governed by the AKP for 15 years, in the March 31 Local Elections.

Necati Özkan, an advisor to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, had made statements that became a hot topic regarding the Sancaktepe Municipality, which passed from the AKP to the CHP.

Özkan, who went to the municipality to congratulate the new mayor Alper Yeğin, had claimed that there was a 6,000-square-meter presidential floor in the municipal building and that there was a jacuzzi on that floor.

Following these allegations, former mayor Şeyma Döğücü from the AKP stated, "I leave it to your conscience and dignity to clear up this matter by opening a live broadcast from the presidential office right now for those who claim there is a jacuzzi," she said.

The debts of the Sancaktepe Municipality, which passed from the AKP to the CHP, were hung on the municipal building.

Loan debt to banks: 34,045,633.06 TL

Current debts to public institutions (Tax Office, SGK, Pension Fund): 35,895,142.91 TL

Restructured debts to public institutions and organizations: 97,664,521.03 TL

Collateral debts to contractors: 100,287,468.38 TL

Total debt: 1,946,726,113.69 TL”

PRESIDENTIAL FLOOR AND LUXURY BATHROOM REVEALED

On the other hand, the municipality's presidential floor and luxury bathroom, which have been widely discussed in the public eye, have been revealed.

According to the news in Sözcü, the municipal building, which was debated in the public eye due to mutual allegations, was opened to members of the press, and areas such as meeting rooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen were reflected in the lenses.
