Sezgin Tanrıkulu: Soon they will say 'going to the opera is also a terrorist activity'

CHP Diyarbakır Deputy Sezgin Tanrıkulu, "Soon they will say 'going to the opera is also a terrorist activity.' Those who deal with Kurds, Turkey's common value, Kurdish artists, politicians, and ordinary citizens; on the other hand Republic of Turkey citizenship is being sold for money." he said. 

CHP Chairman Özgür Özelattended an opera performance in Istanbul with CHP İstanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik, CHP Diyarbakır Deputy Tanrıkulu, and HEDEP Van Deputy Pervin Buldan . 

AKP İzmir Deputy Mehmet Ali Çelebicriticized Özel by saying, "The greeting Özgür Özel sent to Demirtaş at the party congress was received by HDP's Pervin Buldan at the Opera in Kadıköy... You cannot have both Atatürk and Demirtaş!"

CHP Diyarbakır Deputy Tanrıkulu responded to the criticisms as follows: 

"Soon they will say 'going to the opera is also a terrorist activity.' Those who deal with Kurds, a common value of Turkey, Kurdish artists, politicians, and ordinary citizens; on the other hand Turkey They are selling Republic citizenship for money. Kurds are citizens of this Republic not by later acquisition, but since its founding. Those who attack their language and culture because of a concert should know that Kurds did not buy their citizenship with money, nor did they acquire it later. Their struggle is for equal citizenship against these attacks of yours."
