Signature campaign against Kılıçdaroğlu in Bodrum: Over 15,000 signatures collected

The signature campaign launched by the Bodrum Citizens' Initiative under the title "We do not want Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in Bodrum" has concluded. The initiative announced that more than 15,000 signatures were collected during the six-day campaign.

The campaign was conducted in front of the Municipal Bazaar Cafe on Cevat Şakir Street in the center of Bodrum. Reading the press statement, Bodrum Citizens' Initiative Spokesperson Ayhan Karahan directed harsh criticism at Kılıçdaroğlu, arguing that the grassroots and the will of the voters were ignored.

Reminding that Kılıçdaroğlu received 79 percent of the vote in Bodrum in the 2023 elections, Karahan stated, "This time, Bodrum has said: 'I do not grant my blessing'."

Stating that the collected signatures would be delivered to Kılıçdaroğlu personally, Karahan said, "We will deliver these signatures to Kılıçdaroğlu himself by hand. Not through an intermediary, his chief of staff, his secretary, by mail, or by courier."

Karahan said that the signatures were not just a list, but that those who participated in the campaign wanted a "confrontation." Touching upon the heavy security measures in Ankara, Karahan announced that they would set off for the CHP Headquarters on the night of July 10.
