Statement from Ümit Dikbayır, rumored to be joining the AKP: 'I will continue to do what I believe is right'
Independent Sakarya MP Ümit Dikbayır responded to allegations about him on his social media account, stating that he will not be joining the AKP.
Independent Sakarya MP Ümit Dikbayır, who joined the CHP after leaving the İYİ Party and later resigned from the CHP to continue his path as an independent, responded on his social media account to claims that he would be joining the AKP.
In his statement, in which he did not name anyone, Dikbayır stated that news, commentary, rumors, and posts were being produced about him based on "dirty information." Describing the process as a "dirty political arena," Dikbayır expressed that such developments have provided him with new experiences.
In his statement, Dikbayır said, "As I have done until today, I will continue to do what I believe is right and say what I believe in from now on as well. I leave the rest to God."
On the other hand, journalist İsmail Saymaz stated in a post on his social media account that he had spoken with Dikbayır and conveyed that the independent MP said he would not be joining the AK Party.
