Striking DEM Party claim from YPG/PYD terrorist: 'They provided financial resources to the organization'

The terrorist activities of the YPG/SDF, an extension of the PKK, during the civil war in Syria and its relations with the US have come to the fore with new confessions.

Ahmet Osman, a former YPG/SDF official known by the code name "Ali," gave statements alleging that the organization has been defrauding the US for years. Osman stated that the number of personnel and salary payments presented to the US were a serious deception.

"FRAUD" CONFESSION

Osman explained that he joined the YPG/SDF in 2015 with 800 people and that at the time, the organization received large payments by misleading the US. Osman said that the organization, which did not exceed 35 thousand members even at its peak, received salary payments based on a staff of 80-90 thousand. Furthermore, Osman claimed that US officials also benefited from this fraud. "With Brett McGurk coming to the field, illegal transport corridors to Iraq were established and oil was sold to Assad," he said.

Ahmet Osman claimed that Brett McGurk, in particular, had close relations with the YPG and that as a result of this relationship, illegal material transport corridors to Iraq were established. While stating that McGurk made significant gains during this process, Osman noted that the US administration realized by 2022 that its relations with the PKK and YPG had come to an end.

PKK SOLD WEAPONS FROM THE US, COLLABORATED WITH RUSSIA AND ASSAD

The sale of weapons that the YPG/SDF received from the US was also included in Osman's statements. Osman said that the YPG sold the weapons sent by the US by secretly collaborating with Russia and the Assad regime, and that this created great tension. In addition, Osman stated that after the US cut off salary payments, they took control of the factories in the region. While low salaries were paid to tribesmen, high salaries were given to newly joined Kurds.

LEADERS WHO FLED RAQQA BEGGED THE US

After the fall of Raqqa, high-ranking leaders, organization heads, and cadres of the YPG/SDF begged for the US to intervene. Osman stated that these leaders took refuge in the al-Aktan Prison through tunnels and called for help from the US from there. He said that after coalition aircraft conducted 24-hour patrol activities, the US accepted this situation.

Stating that the US realized its Syrian Kurdistan project was a failure, Osman explained that he had warned the Washington administration many times that this strategy would not work. Osman said, "The US was actually saying that its main goal in the region was to establish a front line against Iran. However, these plans had no karşılık (equivalent/basis) on the ground," he expressed.

CLAIM THAT DEM EXECUTIVES PROVIDED FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Osman stated that high-ranking members of the YPG/SDF were occasionally present in regions such as Qamishli, Raqqa, and Ayn al-Arab. He conveyed that these individuals were directed by Qandil and established close relations with local administrations in the region. Furthermore, Osman claimed that DEM-HDP executives also participated in activities in these regions and that these collaborations provided significant financial resources to the organization.
