Striking remarks from AKP's Metin Külünk: 'Erdoğan sociology is melting, voters want to beat the People's Alliance'
Former AKP MP Metin Külünk stated in a video he released that voter reaction against the People's Alliance is growing. Külünk said, "The AK Party's own sociology is melting. I will go further; Erdoğan sociology is melting."
Metin Külünk made notable assessments in a video he published under the title "Metin Külünk Answers."
Speaking about the People's Alliance's standing in society, Külünk stated that a significant portion of the electorate is reacting to the current political landscape.
"VOTERS WANT TO BEAT THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE"
Külünk, who made headlines with his remarks in the video, said, "A significant wing of the electorate wants to beat the People's Alliance."
Assessing the reason for this reaction, Külünk argued that the People's Alliance, and especially the AK Party, have been pursuing policies that clash with society.
Külünk used the expression, "It is the policies of the People's Alliance, especially the AK Party movement, that are at odds with the street."
"THE TURKISH NATION DOES NOT LIKE BEING DEFIED"
Stating that the AKP has not been able to sufficiently respond to the expectations of society, Külünk noted that citizens are reacting for this reason.
In his statement, Külünk said, "The public is reacting due to policies that do not respond to their expectations. The Turkish nation does not like being antagonized."
"ERDOĞAN'S SOCIOLOGY IS MELTING"
The former AKP deputy claimed that a serious shift is also occurring within the party's own social base.
Külünk stated, "The AK Party's own sociology is melting. I will go further and say; Mr. Erdoğan's sociology is melting."
"THE 70 PERCENT SUPPORT FROM JULY 15 HAS MELTED"
Külünk argued that the broad social support that emerged, particularly after the July 15 coup attempt, has diminished over time.
In his statement, he assessed, "That sociology of 70 percent that stood together on July 15 has entered a continuous process of melting."
"EVERYONE SHOULD REFLECT ON THIS"
Stating that he had made similar warnings before, Külünk issued a call to the party leadership.
Külünk used the expression, "Everyone should take their hat off and think."
