Striking result from 'If an election were held this Sunday' poll: All but one party lost votes

MetroPoll Research shared the results of its election poll conducted between December 9-13. In the survey, which included 2,870 people across 28 provinces, citizens were asked, 'If a parliamentary election were held this Sunday, which political party would you vote for?' According to the results, there was an increase in undecided and protest votes.

As Turkey heads toward local elections, public opinion research companies continue their polling efforts.

Most recently, MetroPoll Research shared the results of a public opinion survey conducted between December 9-13 with 2,870 people in 28 provinces.

UNDECIDED AND PROTEST VOTE RATIO DREW ATTENTION

According to the results of the survey, in which citizens were asked 'If a parliamentary election were held this Sunday, which political party would you vote for?', the rate of those who stated they were undecided or would cast a protest/invalid vote was 24.4 percent.

According to the results shared by Özer Sencar, founder and manager of MetroPoll Research Company, on his social media account, the distribution of votes before the undecided are redistributed is as follows:

AKP: 27.2

CHP: 20

DEM Party: 7.8

İYİ Party: 5.8

MHP: 5

Yeniden Refah: 1.4

Zafer Party: 1.3

TİP: 1.1

Other: 0.6

Undecided: 13.7

Protest vote: 10.7

No answer: 4.5

WHILE ALL PARTIES LOST VOTES, CHP INCREASED

When compared with the results of the research conducted by MetroPoll between November 15-19, it was observed that only the CHP increased its votes by 2 points. The DEM Party lost 1 point, the İYİ Party 1 point, the AKP 3 points, and the MHP 2.5 points.

ISTANBUL POLL

MetroPoll also shared the poll in which it measured the votes of political parties for Istanbul. While undecided and protest votes declined in Istanbul, it is seen that the votes for the Homeland Party (Memleket Partisi) are at 2.5 points.

While the MHP's vote in Istanbul fell to 3.8, other parties besides the CHP received almost the same votes as the national average in Turkey. The CHP's vote in Istanbul reaches 23 percent before the undecided are redistributed.
