Turkey has entered the local election atmosphere. Polling companies continue their public opinion research for the local elections on March 31, 2024.
Ankara, one of the cities where the local elections are most anticipated, has seen the CHP nominate incumbent mayor Mansur Yavaş, while the AKP has nominated Turgut Altınok.
While the IYI Party, which decided to enter the local elections 'freely and independently', has nominated Cengiz Topel Yıldırım as its Ankara candidate, the New Welfare Party (YRP), which closed its doors to an alliance with the AKP, will enter the race with Suat Kılıç.
While the race in the capital is expected to take place between Yavaş and Altınok, HBS Research Company has published the results of its election poll conducted in February.
In the poll conducted with 2,436 participants, the voting preferences of the citizens were as follows;
- Mansur Yavaş/CHP-%37.7
