Suat Kılıç announces: 'Local election' decision from the New Welfare Party!

Visiting his party's Yozgat Provincial Headquarters, New Welfare Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç made statements regarding the local elections.

Stating that they will enter the elections in Yozgat with their own candidates, Kılıç expressed that they had taken a stance in favor of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the presidential election.

"NOW THIS IS A LOCAL ELECTION, WE WILL NOT BE ELECTING A GOVERNMENT"

Explaining that the local elections will be held on March 31 and that a president and government will not be elected, Kılıç spoke as follows:

"In the presidential election, we said, 'It is a matter of survival, the fight against terrorism should not be interrupted, and there should be no inconsistencies in Turkey's foreign policy.' In the Kılıçdaroğlu-Erdoğan dilemma, we took a stance in favor of Erdoğan. Now, this is a local election. We will not be electing a president. We will not be electing a government. We will not be determining the course of domestic policy, foreign policy, or the economy. We will make our decision regarding the work that the municipality should do, such as who should sweep the streets, who should repair the sidewalks, who should lay the asphalt, who should build the parks and gardens, and who should prepare nurseries, elderly care centers, and disabled ramps for use. We will determine and elect the mayoral candidate who will best provide these services."

"WE WILL ENTER IN YOZGAT WITH OUR OWN CANDIDATES"

Stating that the New Welfare Party will announce its own mayoral candidate in Yozgat, Kılıç used the expression, "We will participate in the local election race on March 31, 2024, in Yozgat with our own candidate. There are districts we have announced, and we will participate in this race in our other districts with our own candidates as well. In 14 municipalities in Yozgat, including the center, New Welfare Party candidates will participate in the race with the New Welfare Party logo. Our desire and request from you is to support our candidates, support our party, and grow the New Welfare Party as an alternative for power."

Following his speech, Kılıç pinned badges on the mayoral candidate hopefuls who joined his party from the Kadışehri district.
