Summaries prepared for two CHP deputy chairmen
In the indictment completed 10 months later regarding the investigation file that led to the arrest of 7 CHP mayors, known in the public eye as the "Beşiktaş" or "Aziz İhsan Aktaş criminal organization" case, it was stated that summaries (fezleke) have been prepared for CHP Deputy Chairmen Özgür Karabat and Burhanettin Bulut due to their parliamentary immunity.
The investigation, which was launched based on various tenders participated in by businessman Aziz İhsan Aktaş and has been ongoing for approximately 10 months, has been completed. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has prepared a 578-page indictment regarding the structure known in the public eye as the "Aziz İhsan Aktaş criminal organization."
The indictment alleges that "1 million dollars was paid to Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin and CHP Adana Deputy Burhanettin Bulut through Oya Tekin's husband, Celal Tekin, within the scope of tenders won by companies belonging to the organization at the Seyhan Municipality." The document states that because Bulut is a member of parliament, a summary (fezleke) was prepared regarding him and sent to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Furthermore, in the section concerning CHP Deputy Chairman and Istanbul Deputy Özgür Karabat, it was alleged that "before the 2024 local elections, upon the instructions of Ekrem İmamoğlu, money was collected under the name of 'election support' from companies doing business with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and its subsidiaries, as well as CHP-run district municipalities." In this context, it was claimed that Karabat received a bribe of 5 million liras. It was stated that a summary (fezleke) was also prepared for Karabat and sent to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
