Support announcement for Mayor Muhittin Böcek for local elections: 'A pro-people candidate, not a rent-seeker'
Meeting with party members at an iftar dinner in Antalya, Turkey Alliance Party Chairman Mehmet Sağlam stated, "We had promised to support pro-people candidates, not rent-seekers, whom we believe will provide the best service to our nation. In this context, we have decided to support the current Mayor, Muhittin Böcek, who has provided an example of successful municipal governance in Antalya for years."
Turkey Alliance Party Chairman Mehmet Sağlam met with party members at an iftar dinner held at a hotel in the Konyaaltı district.
Speaking after the iftar dinner, Sağlam said, “During the last general elections, at a time when they said the ATA Alliance could not even get 1 percent of the vote, we broke all calculations and schemes by receiving 5.17 percent of the vote in a very short time, despite all the obstacles. We achieved a great success together.

We are also present in Turkey's next century. Therefore, for the local elections to be held on March 31, we had promised to support pro-people candidates, not rent-seekers, whom we believe will provide the best service to our nation in all 81 provinces and districts, regardless of party.
In this context, we have decided to support the current Mayor Muhittin Böcek in Antalya, Ümit Uysal in Muratpaşa, and Cem Kotan in Konyaaltı, who have provided examples of successful municipal governance for years. I wish for our decision to be beneficial for our city,” he said.
