Support for families of those in prison from IMM Deputy Mayor! 'Their children are our children'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan sent a message of support to families in a post on his social media account, quoting the post by Ekrem İmamoğlu in which he reacted to the arrests within the scope of the IMM investigation, where those detained are held at Marmara Prison.

Stating that they celebrated the birthday of the son of İmamoğlu's Chief of Staff Kadriye Kasapoğlu, who is currently detained, Aslan said, "Do not break the hearts of mothers, do not incur the curse of mothers. Today, we celebrated the birthday of the child of our Mayor Ekrem's Chief of Staff and our colleague Kadriye Hanım, a child who is being raised by her alone and is now kept apart from his mother."

Aslan used the following expressions in his post:

"Our colleagues are in prison unjustly. Their families, especially their children, are also experiencing great grievances. This treatment of people whose whereabouts are known and who have no other purpose than to do their jobs is opening wounds in the conscience of society that are difficult to heal. Until these injustices come to an end, the families of all detainees are our family, and their children are our children."
