Swift response to Kılıçdaroğlu's 'fake invoice' claim: 'He is slandering without knowing the facts'

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, while describing the "purification" process he said he initiated within the party during a program he attended on TV100, made allegations regarding the Malatya Provincial Presidency. Stating that a provincial chairman had been dismissed, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "They gave 10 million or 20 million, whatever it was, for a newspaper. You go to Malatya, a fake invoice was issued for 40-50 newspapers."

CHP Malatya Provincial Chairman Barış Yıldız rejected the claim in a statement on his social media account and shared documents. Yıldız reported that an invoice that should have been 18 thousand TL was inadvertently issued as 18 million TL, and that the invoice was canceled after the error was noticed.

"The invoice, which should have been 18 thousand TL, was inadvertently issued as 18 million TL; after the error was noticed, the invoice in question was canceled and a new invoice was issued for the correct amount. The payment was also made as 18 thousand TL in accordance with the newly issued invoice."

In his statement, Yıldız also reacted to Kılıçdaroğlu's words. Stating that the documents regarding the matter reveal the situation, Yıldız assessed Kılıçdaroğlu by saying, "He is slandering without knowing the facts."
