Tanju Özcan to Ali Erbaş: 'May God satisfy your greed'
Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan criticized the Presidency of Religious Affairs, stating that three-quarters of the donations collected during Friday prayers go to the institution.
Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan made a social media post drawing attention to the budget of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
In his post, Özcan tagged the President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş and used the following expressions:
“As believers, we thought the donations we made after Friday prayers would contribute to mosque expenses like electricity and natural gas. It turns out that the donations made on three out of every four Fridays go to the Presidency of Religious Affairs. Was the 92 billion TL budget the state gave you not enough? May God satisfy your greed. It turns out the donations given by naive believers were just fuel money for your Audi. Shame on you, have some fear of God!!!”
Biz müminler olarak, Cuma namazı sonrasında yaptığımız bağışların camilere elektrik, doğalgaz gibi katkıları olacağını zannediyorduk. Meğer dört Cumanın üçünde yapılan bağışlar Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı’na gidiyormuş. Devletin sana verdiği 92 Milyar TL bütçe yetmedi mi? Allah… pic.twitter.com/p9m7F8lsrw
