Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan has announced that if former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is re-elected as party leader at the extraordinary congress to be held on April 6, he will part ways with the party he has been a member of for 29 years. In a statement made via his social media account, Özcan said, "If Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who paved the way for a chain of illegalities by calling it a dubious congress after so much intrigue, is re-elected as Chairman, I will part ways with my party of 29 years!"

WHAT HAPPENED?
Following the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, the CHP had decided to convene an extraordinary congress in response to allegations that a trustee would be appointed to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
