Çakar stated the following:
"I am resigning with regret from the Victory Party, where I served as District President, Supreme Board Delegate, and Parliamentary Candidate, due to the mobbing I was subjected to. We had good moments, we made good friendships; my only wish is that these remain."

Victory Party Leader Ümit Özdağ had said the following while introducing Çakar, one of the parliamentary candidates for Istanbul's 3rd District:
"Our Istanbul 3rd District parliamentary candidate Tayyibe Çakar is with me. Yes, you heard that right, Tayyibe Çakar."
