Following the local elections, in which the CHP became the leading party for the first time since 1997, changes were made to the signs of some district municipalities. One of these changes took place at the Derinkuyu Municipality, which the CHP won from the AKP.
The first act of CHP member Taner İnce, who took over the Derinkuyu Municipality, was to add the T.C. prefix to the front of the municipal sign.
