Tension between AKP and DEM Party: 'An approach that adopts the words of genocidal Netanyahu...'
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik targeted the remarks of DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları and called on her to correct her statement.
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted to DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları in a statement made on his social media account. Çelik stated that they reject the expressions used by Hatimoğulları targeting the AKP and the government.
Stating that a "brand new era" was opened in Parliament with 467 votes in favor, Çelik described the targeting of his party and the government in the first statements made following this process as "unjust and baseless."
Çelik argued that the President, cabinet members, AKP executives, and party staff have taken the strongest possible stance against Israel's occupation of Palestine. He claimed that Turkey is the "strongest voice of the alliance of humanity" on this issue.
Stating that Hatimoğulları should correct her statement, Çelik said that an approach referencing Netanyahu's words is "shameful" for a politician.
