Tensions rise between CHP and AKP deputies: 'He has accused all Muslims'
CHP Deputy Umut Akdoğan and AKP Ankara Deputy Leyla Şahin experienced tense moments in Parliament.
While a moderate atmosphere had been established between the leaders following the meeting between CHP Chairman Özel and AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan, the tension and debate that occurred between the deputies drew attention.
CHP Deputy Umut Akdoğan and AKP Ankara Deputy Leyla Şahin Usta used harsh words in their speeches in Parliament.
"OH YOU TYRANTS"
CHP Deputy Umut Akdoğan stated, "Oh you tyrants, whether you are a governor or a judge; you are treading on this fleeting world in vain.
You have been doing this for 1400 years.
You did this while skinning Nesimi alive.
You did this while hanging Hallaj al-Mansur, while beheading Kubilay.”

"HE HAS ACCUSED ALL MUSLIMS"
AKP Ankara Deputy Leyla Şahin Usta, speaking after Akdoğan, said, "CHP Ankara Deputy Umut Akdoğan recklessly said; 'Oh you tyrants, whether you are a district governor or a governor, whether you are a judge or a prosecutor, whether you are a deputy or a minister, you are treading on this fleeting world in vain, you have been doing this for 1400 years...' and by doing so, he has accused all Muslims.
He is accusing all Muslims of the world of brutally murdering people. According to the CHP and its mentality, everyone except themselves is a political Islamist, a fascist, a coup plotter… The CHP, which has taken on every guise and assumed every identity for the sake of coming to power, should look at its own history if it feels any shame.
The CHP must apologize to our nation for these words that accuse all Muslims."
