Tensions rise following police intervention in front of CHP provincial building
Police intervened against the crowd gathered in front of the CHP provincial building. Following the use of pepper spray, some citizens became ill and were forced to leave the area.
The tension in front of the CHP provincial building escalated further as the number of police teams increased. Groups attempting to approach the building were met with pepper spray. Journalist Meral Danyıldız, who was at the scene, reported on the events.
In her broadcast from the scene, Danyıldız stated, "At the point where we are, pepper spray was used on many people. Some became ill and left the area. Police teams are not allowing entry, and the intervention is very harsh. The number of law enforcement officers is increasing by the minute."
It was observed that elderly citizens, in particular, were affected by the pepper spray. Information was also shared that Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee by the government, would come to the area to make a press statement once the rain stopped.
