Veteran journalist Tuncay Mollaveisoğlu made a post revealing the perception operations of the pro-government media before the elections.

Mollaveisoğlu wrote, "Look at what the Palace's newspapers wrote before the election... If Kılıçdaroğlu won, Öcalan would be released! Moreover, the People's Alliance both said this in the squares and had HDP executives say it... Now they have all mobilized together to release Öcalan."

During the election process, the AKP government tried to associate the opposition with terrorism through manipulative visuals and advertising campaigns launched on social media targeting users in provinces with the highest number of martyrs.

Including a screenshot from the Akit newspaper's website in his post, Mollaveisoğlu pointed out that these discourses used during the election period contradict the People's Alliance's current attempts to release Öcalan. The veteran journalist emphasized that these perceptions, created by the pro-government media under the influence of the ruling power by exploiting social sensitivities, were a systematic effort to manipulate the election process.
