The exodus continues: Another resignation in İYİ Party! 'I do not grant my blessing for my efforts and struggle'
Serdar Arslan, a mayoral candidate nominee for the İYİ Party in the Erdemli district of Mersin, resigned from his party, stating, "We have no faith left in the chairman, his staff, or the management level. I do not grant my blessing for my efforts and my struggle."
The news of resignations continues unabated in the İYİ Party, which has decided to enter the local elections 'freely and independently'.
Serdar Arslan, who was the İYİ Party's mayoral candidate for the Erdemli district in the 2019 elections and had set out again for the 2024 elections, resigned with a statement criticizing his party.

In his statement, Arslan used the following expressions:
"In order to complete our unfinished story in our Erdemli district, which was the only district where we increased our votes despite many obstacles and grievances on the path we set out on with great effort and struggle in the 2019 local elections, we rolled up our sleeves again on April 1, 2019, and started a new struggle for the 2024 elections. During this process, I sacrificed both my family and my business, and for 5 years, I participated in all of the İYİ Party's activities. I carried out personal work outside of the party. We expressed the İYİ Party's nationalist and democratic rhetoric as our primary discourse on every platform. We believed that the candidate for our district would be determined by the results of many democratic research methods such as public opinion polls, surveys, and primary elections. Unfortunately, these discourses of ours were not taken into account by the party's echelons.
"I DO NOT GRANT MY BLESSING FOR MY EFFORTS AND MY STRUGGLE"
In the process that has been reached, the democratic demands of my fellow travelers and myself were ignored, and it was announced that another person would be the candidate for our district. For these reasons, we have no faith left in the chairman, his staff, or the management level. This grievance is not only mine, but the grievance of our entire district and those who support us. Because the headquarters administrators, who are unaware of justice, fairness, and public opinion, cannot carry this party and the country anywhere, I am resigning from the İYİ Party, of which I am a member. I do not grant my blessing for my efforts and my struggle."
