The Republican People's Party (CHP) held its primary election to determine its presidential candidate yesterday (Sunday, March 23). Nearly 15 million citizens went to the polls for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested and sent to Silivri Prison yesterday.

HOW MANY VOTES WERE CAST IN TRABZON?
According to the information received, there was intense interest in the primary election in Trabzon as well. It was announced that 11,972 party members went to the polls and cast their votes in the election organized by the CHP Trabzon Provincial Organization.
It was stated that 56 thousand 430 people cast their votes in the solidarity ballot box. The total number of votes was 68 thousand 402. In the local elections on March 31, 2024, 129 thousand 820 people had voted for the CHP.
