The Turkish Parliament's agenda for the new week is set! AKP to submit 2 proposals regarding teachers
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly will continue deliberations on the draft law concerning Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) personnel in the new week. Meanwhile, the Teaching Profession and National Education Academy Draft Law, prepared by AKP deputies, and the draft law containing regulations in the judicial field, known publicly as the "9th Judicial Package," are expected to be submitted to the Speaker of the Parliament.
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) General Assembly will begin its weekly work on Tuesday, June 11.
The General Assembly will continue its deliberations on the Draft Law on Amendments to the Turkish Armed Forces Personnel Law and Certain Other Laws.
According to the proposal, the contracts of specialized sergeants who act in unity with terrorist organizations, assist these organizations, use or allow public facilities and resources to be used to support these organizations, or engage in propaganda for these organizations will be terminated, and their ties with the TSK will be severed.
All announcements regarding exams to be conducted by the Ministry of National Defense, as well as applications and exam results, will be communicated to candidates via the ministry's website.
Parents of martyrs will also be eligible to become members of the Turkey War Disabled, Martyrs' Widows and Orphans Association.
Contracted sergeants and privates will be able to use officer and non-commissioned officer shuttles when leaving their duty stations after work hours and when commuting to and from work.
Personnel who began their insurance coverage after 1999 and were retired due to lack of staff by the decision of the Supreme Military Council after February 1, 2018, will be granted a retirement pension upon completing 25 years of service, regardless of age, for both men and women.
Contracted sergeants and privates serving in Amphibious Marine Infantry Brigade Commands will be paid their monthly salaries with a 5 percent increase in terms of the job difficulty and risk they face.
COMMITTEE AGENDAS
In addition, TBMM Specialized Committees will convene to address their agenda items.
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş will brief the Committee on Equal Opportunity for Women and Men regarding her Ministry's activities.
The TBMM Research Committee on the İliç Mining Accident will continue to hear from academics. Faculty members from the geology, geophysics, and mining engineering departments of Gümüşhane University will make presentations to the committee.
The Joint Committee, composed of members of the Petition Committee and the Human Rights Investigation Committee, will address the Sub-Committee Report on the "2023 Annual Report" of the Ombudsman Institution.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç will provide information to the Human Rights Investigation Committee regarding the "postponement of the execution of prison sentences due to illness."
