Those whose files were separated in the Sinan Ateş murder case have been identified

Who are the suspects allegedly left untouched in the Sinan Ateş murder investigation to avoid a crisis within the People's Alliance?

According to the report by Ankara Gazetecisi, these names are as follows:

Ahmet Yiğit Yıldırım: He was appointed as the Chairman of the Ülkü Ocakları (Idealist Hearths) after Sinan Ateş. He still holds the same position. He ordered that Sinan Ateş be followed step-by-step starting from March 2022. His correspondence with Tolgahan Demirbaş, who is a detainee in the murder case, to learn his location was entered into the file as evidence. He is at the top of the list of 17 suspects against whom no lawsuit has been filed. It is alleged that he changed his phone after the murder. The court has banned him from traveling abroad.

Ömer Şanlı: Ülkü Ocakları Ankara Provincial President. He is among the 17 suspects whose files were separated. After the hitman was temporarily left in Bolu by Emre Yüksel and Tolgahan Demirbaş, Ömer Şanlı, along with Serdar Öktem, a detained suspect in the case, came to Bolu on December 31, 2022, one day after the murder. The vehicles used by the pair, who stayed in Bolu, were caught on cameras one after another.

Burak Kılıç: Deputy Chairman of the Ülkü Ocakları. On April 8, 2022, Burak Kılıç went to conduct reconnaissance in front of Sinan Ateş's house in Ankara's Yenimahalle district, took photos and videos of the place, and sent them to Tolgahan Demirbaş. On the day Sinan Ateş was killed, Kılıç sent a message to Tolgahan Demirbaş at 15:16 saying, "Come to my room, brother." Demirbaş spoke with him on the phone twice at 17:55 and 17:57.

Suat Yılmazzobu: Deputy Provincial President of the Ülkü Ocakları Ankara. According to the expert report, on April 7, 2022, Tolgahan Demirbaş sent a screenshot to Yılmazzobu containing information including the ID number of Sinan Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, and asked for Ateş's address. A day later, Yılmazzobu sent Ateş's home address in Yenimahalle to Demirbaş, saying, "Brother, the phone number was active." On April 12, Yılmazzobu, who asked Demirbaş "if anything came of the number and address," said, "Brother, keep this between us, but Muhabbet President talked to Şakir (his brother). He said we have set up the team, they are going to shoot him in the head." Demirbaş replied to this person, "We are waiting with curiosity too." The vehicle used in the attack on Future Party Deputy Chairman Selçuk Özdağ was rented in Yılmazzobu's name. However, no lawsuit was filed against this person.

Gürsel Horat: Former Çubuk Ülkü Ocakları President. Gürsel Horat, who works at Esenboğa Airport, queried Sinan Ateş's flight information dated March 16, 2022, upon the request of Tolgahan Demirbaş and sent this information to Demirbaş. While sending this message, Horat said, "My president, you know better, Sinan was coming to the port with a gun, he might also pass by Haluk's place." Demirbaş replied, "I think it will be like that too, we will make the plan accordingly."

Olcay Kılavuz: He was serving as an MHP Mersin Deputy when the murder was committed. After the murder, Tolgahan Demirbaş, who left the hitman in Istanbul, hid in Olcay Kılavuz's house in Bağlıca. At that time, Kılavuz tried to resist the police who came to detain Demirbaş. Olcay Kılavuz also called Tolgahan Demirbaş twice half an hour after the murder. In her statement to the prosecutor, Ayşe Ateş had accused Kılavuz as well as Yıldırım for the murder of her husband. There is a file about him at the Parliamentary Crimes Investigation Bureau.
