Threat from Mustafa Destici to Deniz Göktaş! 'We will rip that tongue out'
Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici made harsh remarks criticizing expressions used by comedian Deniz Göktaş during his stand-up show. Destici stated, "If you cast aspersions on my sacred values, we will rip that tongue out."
BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici made statements regarding the words used by comedian Deniz Göktaş in his stand-up show during his weekly press conference at his party's headquarters. Destici expressed that Göktaş, who has recently been on the agenda on social media, was "suddenly brought to the forefront."
Destici assessed, "He was suddenly made into a figure with high viewership. Whether this is a project or if it emerged spontaneously, these will be revealed as a result of the investigation launched." Stating that everything from politicians to artists, business people to social events can be the subject of humor in stand-up shows, Destici said, "One can make humor out of these; there is no problem with any of that."
"WE WILL RIP THAT TONGUE OUT"
Saying "You cannot cast aspersions on this nation's sacred values," Destici continued his words as follows:
"The measure is here. You cannot cast aspersions on the Quran, which is called the holy book and lived by not just the 85 million in Turkey, but over 2 billion people in the world. You cannot make it the subject of humor, you cannot trivialize it. You cannot, so to speak, have fun with it or make others have fun with it. This is what we mean to express. If you cast aspersions on my sacred values, we will rip that tongue out."
