Ties severed: Yeniden Refah Party issues ultimatum to AKP!
Yeniden Refah Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç announced that alliance negotiations with the AKP have been cut off.
The Yeniden Refah Party, which supported Erdoğan by forming an alliance with the AKP in the May elections, has made its decision for the local elections.
YRP Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç announced that alliance negotiations with the AKP have been cut off.
"NEGOTIATIONS HAVE BEEN CUT OFF, WE WILL HAVE NO REQUESTS OR INITIATIVES"
Kılıç stated, "Alliance negotiations with the AK Party are not progressing. Negotiations between the delegations have been cut off. There has been no scheduling of appointments. We will have no requests or initiatives."
Continuing his remarks, Kılıç said, "If a request comes at the leadership level, we would look upon it favorably," adding, "Politics is about being open to negotiation and keeping doors open for cooperation. As the old saying goes, even 24 hours is a long time in politics. We are uncomfortable with our stance being summarized as trying to extract something."
