Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) Istanbul MP Ahmet Şık was hospitalized after falling ill during a visit to Eskişehir.
Şık, who became unwell in the Sümer neighborhood of the Odunpazarı district, was taken to the Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
During examinations at the hospital, a blockage was detected in Şık's heart vessels. It was learned that the MP, who underwent an angiography, is in good health.
It was reported that, at his own request, Şık will be transferred to a hospital in Istanbul tomorrow to undergo bypass surgery.
