TKH asks Erdoğan, reminding him of his son-in-law: Where is America? Where is the Mediterranean? What is Selçuk Bayraktar doing there?

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan criticized the US for sending an aircraft carrier to support Israel following the outbreak of conflict between Israel and Hamas.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?"

Erdoğan said, "Hey America, where is America, where are the Mediterranean, Israel, and Palestine? What are you doing there? Now, does it befit a country like America to establish peace, or does it befit it to go there with gasoline and bellows? What is expected of America is this."

TKH REMINDS ERDOĞAN OF SELÇUK BAYRAKTAR

Erdoğan's statements drew a reaction from the Communist Movement of Turkey (TKH). In a statement, TKH reminded Erdoğan of his son-in-law Selçuk Bayraktar, who went to an American aircraft carrier conducting exercises in the Mediterranean in August by special invitation and had photos taken on the deck of the ship.

Asking, "What was Selçuk Bayraktar doing there?", the TKH statement included the expressions, "Hadn't the world's largest aircraft carrier, which participated in NATO exercises in the Mediterranean in August, come from America? Why didn't he feel the need to ask 'Where is America, where is the Mediterranean?' then?"

"HE MUST FIRST ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS"

The statement published by TKH under the headline "We ask President Erdoğan: Where is America? Where is the Mediterranean? What is Selçuk Bayraktar doing there?" included the following remarks;

"President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once again made the statement, 'Where is America? Where are the Mediterranean, Israel, and Palestine? What are you doing there?' yesterday regarding the US sending an aircraft carrier to the Mediterranean over the war in Palestine.

However, Erdoğan must first answer these questions:

What was his son-in-law Selçuk Bayraktar doing there, who went to the American aircraft carrier conducting exercises in the Mediterranean last August by special invitation and had photos taken on the deck of the ship as if he were putting on a show?

Hadn't the world's largest aircraft carrier, which participated in NATO exercises in the Mediterranean in August, come from America? Why didn't he feel the need to ask 'Where is America, where is the Mediterranean?' then."
