ASSESSMENT FROM THE TKP

The Turkish Communist Party's (TKP) podcast, TKP'nin Sesi, which is broadcast every weekday morning, evaluated the series and the reality of religious sects today under the title "Who Did Kızıl Goncalar Bother and Why?"

Explaining the targeting of the series from its very first episode with the words "They know that religious sects are not legitimate," the broadcast explained the reason for the panic as follows: "Because what they fear is not just the public image of the sects. What they fear is also losing all those financial relationships and their influential positions in the state and politics."

"IT HAS BEEN UNDERSTOOD THAT WHAT THEY CALL SPIRITUALITY CONSISTS ONLY OF MONEY AND EXPLOITATION"

The assessment included in the TKP'nin Sesi broadcast is as follows:

"The series depicts violence, exploitation, and fraud within religious sects through a family that moved to Istanbul due to the earthquake. Children are not sent to school, women are labeled as infidels, and child marriage is addressed.

As you can see, there is actually nothing here that we do not already know.

Did we not know how religious sects have surrounded Turkey on all sides, how they are nests of rent-seeking, exploitation, and violence, how they have become corporations, and how they have found support for themselves in the state and in politics?

Do we not wake up to a sect scandal almost every week? One does not need to be an 'expert' to see what they are up to in the judiciary, the military, and the bureaucracy, or how they fight among themselves.

We no longer need a camera to see how they darken the lives of young children all over Turkey and treat women like slaves.

One of the sects said that 'our society's spiritual world is being targeted.' According to their claims, all of Turkey actually thinks like them and wants to live that way.

This is a fairy tale that has been told for decades. Because according to them, religious sects are the representatives of those who define themselves as conservative. According to them, religious sects have been victims for years. According to them, religious sects are foundations and non-governmental organizations.

In reality, this fairy tale is nothing more than a cover that all governments, regardless of right or left, have found as a protective shield for religious reactionism.

They twisted and turned this cover and used it to the fullest to accustom the public and render them ineffective. They waged a psychological war in the neighborhood, at the workplace, and on the street. This is how they succeeded in eliminating secularism and opening space for religious reactionism in politics.

They wanted to hold the public captive through psychological war. They corrupted the public's normal through imposition and social engineering.

Religious sects have always been nests of violence, cruelty, and bigotry. Now, the public was being told that religious sects were normal.

In this psychological war, the sect, the politician, and the 'not enough but yes' supporters all played a role together.

In other words, what they call our 'spiritual world' had nothing to do with the values of Turkish society.

Now that their true colors have been revealed, and it is understood by everyone that what they call spirituality consists only of money and exploitation, they are in a panic and are terrorizing the public.

Because what they fear is not just the public image of the sects. What they fear is also losing all those financial relationships and their influential positions in the state and politics.

To put an end to this imposition, it is essential that religious sects be disbanded."
