In Kadıköy,the CHP finished as the first party with 68.78 percent of the vote, the AK Party as the second with 13 percent, and the TKP as the third with 10.02 percent.

It is clear that we were not successful enough in terms of the results we achieved in explaining our understanding of local governance to the public.

The fact that we did not achieve the level of success we desired is not due to our program being wrong, but rather due to the current conjuncture and our own shortcomings.

Dear friends, we may have lost the election numerically, but the 31,000 votes we received mean that our local governance program was approved and accepted by 10 out of every 100 people living in Kadıköy.

Together with the city residents who supported us by voting for our program, we will continue to stand against every urban crime committed. Since the moment we lost the election, we have been hearing intense remarks from our friends such as 'you were wasted.' The criticism that we missed an important opportunity for socialists and that we wasted it is correct.

"WE WILL DEFINITELY WIN"

But none of our efforts are empty or in vain. The values we created together with our collective have left a mark on history in the consciousness of the people. While municipalities are important positions for us, they are not absolute; they are only one dimension of our struggle. This is not an end for us, but rather a continuation of the just struggle of the people that I have carried out throughout my life, in a different dimension.
