Transfer rumors confirmed: 2 mayors arrive at AKP Headquarters
Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan and Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı have arrived at the AK Party Headquarters to join the Justice and Development Party.
Keçiören Mayor Mesut Özarslan, who resigned from the CHP, and Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı, who has been serving as an independent, are expected to join the AKP.
Both mayors arrived at the AKP Headquarters ahead of the Extended Provincial Chairs Meeting to be held by the AKP in Ankara.

It is anticipated that their party pins will be attached by President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
TWO MAYORS JOIN THE AKP
Mesut Özarslan, who was elected Mayor of Keçiören from the CHP in the local elections, had been on the agenda with claims regarding his political future after parting ways with his party. Confirming the behind-the-scenes reports that he would switch to the AKP, Özarslan arrived at the AKP Headquarters.
Rasim Arı RETURNS TO HIS FORMER PARTY
Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı, who began his political life in the AKP, had previously left the party citing health issues. Arı, who later joined the İYİ Party, is expected to return to the ranks of the AKP after approximately 4.5 years.
