Turgut Altınok speaks on his '5,000 TL for retirees' pledge
Turgut Altınok, the People's Alliance candidate for Ankara who promised to pay 5,000 lira to retirees, stated, "Currently, the metropolitan municipality allocates 4 percent of its budget to social support. We will increase this to 10-12 percent."

Turgut Altınok, the People's Alliance candidate for Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) mayor, made statements ahead of the rally.
Responding to questions from NTV's Ahmet Örsoğlu, Altınok claimed that the biggest problems in Ankara are traffic and transportation. Asserting that buses are packed like sardines, Altınok said, "Our citizens want the transportation problem to be solved."
"WE WILL INCREASE SOCIAL ASSISTANCE TO 10-12 PERCENT"
Altınok was also asked about his election promise to pay 5,000 lira to retirees. Stating that the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality allocates a 4 percent share of its budget for social assistance, Altınok said, "We will increase this to 10-12 percent."
Altınok added, "There is a problem with not using Ankara's resources properly."
