Ülkü Ocakları accuses Ayyüce Türkeş of betrayal

Ayyüce Türkeş, the daughter of MHP founder Alparslan Türkeş, became the IYI Party's candidate for Mayor of Adana Metropolitan Municipality. The Adana branch of Ülkü Ocakları hung a banner next to Ayyüce Türkeş's campaign banner that read, "There is no passage for betrayal in Adana."

Hanging the banner right next to IYI Party Adana candidate Ayyüce Türkeş's banner, which reads "Adana deserves more," the Adana Ülkü Ocakları included Alparslan Türkeş's quote, "The wind determines the fate of the leaf that breaks off from its branch!" on the banner.

WHO IS AYYÜCE TÜRKEŞ?

Ayyüce Türkeş, the daughter of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) founder Alparslan Türkeş, was born in Ankara on October 2, 1977. Having completed her primary, secondary, and high school education in Ankara, Türkeş completed her higher education in Economics at Bilkent University and an MBA at Bilgi University, respectively. She pursued doctoral studies in Banking at Marmara University.

Stating that she does not believe the MHP follows the line of Alparslan Türkeş, Ayyüce Türkeş became the IYI Party's first-rank parliamentary candidate for Adana in the 2023 Turkish general elections. She entered parliament as a 28th-term IYI Party deputy for Adana and served on the National Defense Commission.
