Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ announced at a press conference held at his party's headquarters that Mustafa Ertekin, who resigned from the MHP, has joined the Victory Party.
It was stated that Ertekin previously served as a member of the MHP Central Executive Committee (MYK). In his statement, Özdağ said that Ertekin had held various positions within the MHP and had resigned from his party yesterday.
Özdağ also made assessments regarding the current agenda, criticizing the economic management and the ruling party's election strategy. Arguing that the AK Party conducts politics based on "dividing the opposition," Özdağ also reacted to the potential discussions regarding raises for retirees and minimum wage earners.
Speaking at the press conference about regulations concerning the families of martyrs and veterans, Özdağ stated, "Veterans and martyrs have no rank." Özdağ also evaluated Mustafa Ertekin's joining the Victory Party as a reaction to the ongoing political processes.
