Ümit Özdağ explains the 'paradigm' in Öcalan's message: 'Best wishes for the People-Öcalan Alliance'

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call for "DEM and İmralı to meet" was followed by DEM Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan, who traveled to İmralı to hold a meeting with the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan.

While the repercussions of this meeting continue, Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ made statements regarding the agenda at a press conference held at his party's headquarters.

Drawing attention to the resolution process between 2009 and 2015, Özdağ said that the People's Alliance, formed by the AKP and MHP, has begun bargaining with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK.

Recalling the election propaganda in which the AKP government accused the opposition of coming together with terrorism during election processes, Özdağ stated, "We see that the People's Alliance, which accuses the opposition of coming together with the DEM at every opportunity in general and local elections, is not just standing side-by-side with the DEM today, but is in a tight embrace with them."

Touching upon the statements made by the People's Alliance regarding developments in Syria, Özdağ asked, "The People's Alliance claims to have won a victory in Syria. It declares itself the conqueror of Damascus. If you have conquered Syria, why have you reached a point where you need the mediation of a criminal who has been handed over to you in prison?"

In the continuation of his speech, Özdağ drew attention to the term 'paradigm' in the message sent by terrorist leader Öcalan from İmralı.

Stating that "In PKK literature, 'paradigm' is used in various contexts to replace state, regime, and system," Özdağ said, "When Öcalan speaks of the new paradigm of Erdoğan and Bahçeli, he is talking about the new state and system intended to be established with a new constitution. Best wishes for the People-Öcalan Alliance."

Reacting to terrorist leader Öcalan's expression of 'let us strengthen Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood', Özdağ said, "In the last thousand years in Anatolia, no one has caused more destruction than Öcalan for the Turk and the Kurd to separate and become enemies as if they were two different nations."

Özdağ continued as follows:

“Look Abdullah, you received the first slap of your life while walking down the stairs of the Faculty of Political Sciences. I don't know what you received from the intelligence services in Syria. But I know who you received the second slap from in İmralı and why. Get ready now, you will receive the third slap from the Zafer Party.

Öcalan speaks of the problem becoming gangrenous due to external interventions. However, it was Öcalan himself who invited, encouraged, and collaborated with the enemies of Turkey to intervene in our country.

The traitorous scoundrel called Abdullah Öcalan is the one who turned the PKK terrorist organization into the sixth corps of the Greek army in the 1990s.”

Also reacting to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Özdağ stated, "Mr. Özgür Özel, you cannot sit at the same table with PKK terrorists and Abdullah Öcalan while considering the sensitivities of the families of martyrs and veterans. These two do not go together. Either you stand with the Turkish State, the Republic founded by Atatürk, and the paradigm founded by Atatürk, or you go and become a partner in the new paradigm with Bahçeli, Erdoğan, and Öcalan."

"The People's Alliance, having learned no lessons from the negotiations held with the PKK terrorist organization between 2009 and 2015, has again begun bargaining with terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK.

As a result of the 2009-2015 negotiations, Turkey lost 744 of its children as martyrs and hundreds of our children became veterans due to the wrong policies of the People's Alliance—at that time the AKP was alone—during the trench warfare.

Without learning any lessons from these, you sat down to bargain with Öcalan. We see that the People's Alliance, which accuses the opposition of coming together with the DEM at every opportunity in general and local elections, is not just standing side-by-side with the DEM today, but is in a tight embrace with them.

The most important motivation for the Turkish soldier in the fight against terrorism and death is moral strength. These meetings held with the terrorist leader not only hurt the families of martyrs and veterans. They also erode the morale and motivation of the heroic members of the TSK, our Gendarmerie, and our police who are fighting the terrorists to the death.

I am addressing the People's Alliance, which is conducting negotiations with terrorism: what do you intend to answer to the heroes who are currently watching for terrorists in the mountains of northern Iraq under the harshest winter conditions? Will you say, 'We have reached an agreement, you are no longer needed'?

Come to your senses. Governing a state is not a jigsaw puzzle.

The other day, a DEM deputy said in a speech at the TBMM, 'You are selling us the electricity produced in the dams built in our region for money. We do not accept this.' This is the mentality you are sitting down to negotiate with.

Is this person speaking by taking this courage from Bahçeli? What was promised to the terrorist organization in secret meetings that are not disclosed to the public, that this insolent person is speaking in this way and has set out to draw imaginary geographies over Anatolia?

Are you aiming to restructure a part of the country based on the terrorist organization under autonomy or another political structure? What is it if not misery to accept such a speech?
