Ümit Özdağ extends invitation to CHP's Köksal, who made headlines with DEM Party remarks

In a post on social media, Ümit Özdağ stated, "The doors of the Zafer Party are open to the esteemed CHP Afyon Mayoral candidate Burcu Köksal, who was expelled from the CHP by İmamoğlu for refusing to make separatists partners in municipal administration."

WHAT HAPPENED?

CHP Afyonkarahisar Mayoral Candidate Burcu Köksal had stated, "When I am elected, the doors of the Afyonkarahisar Municipality will be open to every political party except the DEM Party."

While CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, speaking in Uşak, said it was a "slip of the tongue," Burcu Köksal told Barış Yarkadaş from TV100, "I did not speak as a result of a slip of the tongue, but based on a promise I made."

"SHE WILL FIND ANOTHER PARTY"

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted to Köksal, saying, "Anyone who says, 'If I become mayor, I will not hire members of these parties, I will only meet with these parties excluding those,' will either find themselves another job or find another party."

NEW STATEMENT FROM KÖKSAL

CHP's Köksal made a new statement on her social media account, using the following expressions:

"As I have said throughout the election process, my stance against the AKP's lies, slanders, and edited videos is clear. When I become Mayor, I will not manage the municipality with the DEM Party or HÜDA-PAR.

When I become Mayor, the doors of the municipality will be wide open to everyone who is bound by citizenship to the Republic of Turkey, who loves this country, and who defends the unity and integrity of this country, regardless of their ethnic origin or sect."
