Ümit Özdağ issues Dilan and Engin Polat directive to his party: 'Hang it on party buildings!'
Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who reacted to the scenes that occurred during the release of Engin Polat—who was imprisoned for 10 months for money laundering and was recently released—has instructed his party to hang posters prepared for Dilan and Engin Polat on party buildings.
Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ had previously stated regarding Dilan Polat, "I know how she got out of prison," but did not share the details.
'HAVE POSTERS MADE AND HANG THEM'
Özdağ finally gave a poster directive to his party and stated the following:
"To all provincial and district presidencies of the Zafer Party,
dear friends, please have this visual made into a poster and hang it on the front facade of your party building.
Dear young people,
These people are not role models. Your mothers and fathers, who bring bread to the table with their labor, provide you with an honorable life by respecting the laws, paying their taxes, and through the sweat of their brows. The values represented by your parents are much more important than three or five cents, fake glitz, or luxury vehicles. Take your mothers and fathers as your role models."
Zafer Partisi’nin bütün il ve ilçe başkanlıklarına,

değerli arkadaşlar, bu görseli afiş yaptırarak parti binanızın ön cephesine asın lütfen.
Sevgili gençler,
bu insanlar örnek alınacak insanlar değil. Sizin emeği ile evine eköek getiren anne ve babanız, yasalara saygı… pic.twitter.com/xbXw2zO1lB
WHAT HAPPENED?
Ümit Özdağ had attracted public attention with his harsh reactions to Dilan Polat's social media posts and his statement, "I know how she got out of prison."
Ümit Özdağ provided more information about these statements during a program he attended on Sözcü TV.
Özdağ said the following:
"As a requirement of transparent politics, I often share what I know with the public. If it concerns national security issues, I do not share it, and I state that I will not share it.
Before this decision was issued, a friend of mine coincidentally overheard a conversation between two politicians and the content of that conversation. He relayed it to me in writing before the decision was issued.
I consulted with legal experts, asking, 'Can I share this?' They stated that it would be legally problematic for me to share it.
That is why I said, 'I know how it happened, but I cannot share it.' Sharing it would result in both politicians denying it. In this respect, it is not legally appropriate to share it.
A very respectable female lawyer tweeted that I should share it. I called her, explained what happened, and asked, 'If I share it, will you take on my defense?' She said, 'I wouldn't even go near it.'
There was a conversation between two people, a bargain was made, and an amount was mentioned. This is the information that reached me. Let those who had this conversation know that I know what they talked about."
