Ümit Özdağ reacts to Bahçeli's remarks: What is the need for the MHP? Close the party, join the AK Party

The 14th Ordinary Grand Congress of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) took place today at the Ankara Sports Hall.

During the congress, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli addressed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement, "This is my final election," by saying, "You cannot leave. You cannot abandon the Turkish nation. We want to see you as the savior leader of the new century."

Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ evaluated these remarks by Bahçeli, which have become a major topic of discussion.

Özdağ stated the following:

"The savior leader is Atatürk. Why would Erdoğan save Turkey? If Erdoğan is the savior leader as the AKP chairman, what is the need for the MHP? Close the party, join the AK Party.

Dear Turkish Nationalists, my dear MHP brothers and sisters, I invite you not to vote for the AK Party, which is understood to be preparing to initiate a second negotiation process with the PKK after the elections and to attempt to change the first three articles of our Constitution, but to vote for the Zafer Party."
