YENİ Party İzmir Deputy Ümit Özlale made a statement regarding the fund investigation that has been a subject of public debate. Özlale stated that their party's motion for a parliamentary inquiry into the matter was rejected by AK Party votes, noting that they have been working on the file for over a year.
Sharing on his social media account, Özlale stated that they directed questions to two cabinet ministers and the Vice President based on the Central Registry Agency (MKK) transaction records in their possession. Arguing that Cevdet Yılmaz had previously responded to their questions and confirmed that the information they held was accurate, Özlale stated that the questions they posed today were also based on MKK records.
I am saying this emphatically: These MKK documents are not fake. Both the names and the amounts are correct.
Özlale also touched upon the discussions regarding Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş. Pointing out that a statement containing the TCKN (Turkish Republic Identity Number) information of two individuals was made shortly after their questions, Özlale claimed that this situation shows that the relevant ministries and the President are aware of the individuals in the fund investigation along with the transaction details.
The YENİ Party deputy stated that the political relationships he alleges are linked to the fund must be uncovered, saying, "Our concern is for the names in this folder to be shared with the public and for the criminals to face their punishment."
In his statement, Özlale argued that a "victimhood campaign" was being launched regarding the minister, expressing that the real victimhood belongs to the citizens he says were harmed by the fund. Stating that an apology is expected from him, Özlale noted that an apology should first be made to the rights holders and those he says were subjected to injustice.
We will continue to expose this robbery gang and to clear the political leg of this heist with the same excitement and energy as the first day. We will also hold those who robbed this public, those who protected them, and those who failed to fulfill their oversight duties accountable.
