Vatan Party announces its Ankara candidate
The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate was announced at the Vatan Party's Ankara provincial congress.
The Vatan Party has announced its Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate. At the Vatan Party's 12th Ordinary Ankara Provincial Congress, Utku Reyhan was named the Vatan Party's candidate.

Meanwhile, candidates for the Yenimahalle, Mamak, Sincan, Çankaya, and Keçiören districts were also announced.
At the congress, which was also attended by Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek, Utku Reyhan was named the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate, while Murat Demirbaş announced his candidacy for Çankaya, Can Alkaç for Mamak, Mustafa Aynur for Yenimahalle, Erdem Cömert for Keçiören, and Perihan Karagöllü for Sincan.
WHO IS UTKU REYHAN?
Utku Reyhan was born in 1985 in Çamlıhemşin, Rize. He completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy at Ankara University's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Department of History of the Republic at the Ankara University Institute of Social Sciences.

Since 2002, he has served in various capacities within the Workers' Party (Vatan Party). He held positions as Ankara Provincial Chairman, member of the Central Executive Board, and Secretary General of the Workers' Party's Pioneer Youth (Öncü Gençlik). Reyhan, who served as a spokesperson during the founding of the Turkey Youth Union (TGB), later served as the Ankara Provincial Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the TGB.
He was elected to the Central Decision Board at the 8th General Congress of the Workers' Party held in 2010. Reyhan, who served as Ankara Provincial Secretary for a period, was appointed Deputy Chairman as the Head of the Organization Bureau at the 9th General Congress held in 2013.
Reyhan, who took part in the founding of the National Constitution Movement (MAH) and served as its secretary general, was appointed Secretary General following the Vatan Party's 10th Congress, which convened on March 11-13, 2017. Reyhan held this position until November 27, 2020.
Utku Reyhan was elected to the Vatan Party Presidential Board on April 12, 2021, and became a Deputy Chairman once again. Reyhan has also served as the Head of the National Strategy Center, Head of the International Relations Bureau, and Head of the Propaganda Bureau.
Having also worked as a news manager at Aydınlık Newspaper, Utku Reyhan writes a column in Aydınlık two days a week. A member of the editorial board of Teori Magazine, Reyhan also prepared and hosted a program titled 'Yalancının Mumu' (The Liar's Candle) on Ulusal Kanal. During his youth, Reyhan also published articles in the Gençlik Cephesi and Kırmızı Beyaz magazines. He is currently a Deputy Chairman of the Vatan Party and the Ankara Provincial Chairman. He is married and a father of one.
