Venue crisis during Ekrem İmamoğlu's Kastamonu visit

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor and Republican People's Party (CHP) presidential primary candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu faced a venue crisis during his visit to Kastamonu as part of his primary election tour.

Having previously delivered speeches in cities such as Izmir, Kayseri, and Adana, İmamoğlu received a negative response to his request for an indoor sports arena in Kastamonu.

CHP officials contacted the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports to request the allocation of an indoor sports arena for İmamoğlu's Kastamonu program. However, this request was rejected on the grounds of scheduled matches.

Kastamonu Mayor Hasan Baltacı stated in a post on social media, "Our Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and presidential primary candidate, Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, will visit our province on Wednesday, March 12, and will come together with our fellow citizens."

"VENUE ALLOCATION REFUSED"

Baltacı added, "Our party officials contacted the Kastamonu Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports to request a venue allocation. However, these attempts were unsuccessful, and the venue was not provided. We believe this decision was made with political motives."

İmamoğlu will have iftar with the people of Kastamonu at the Kuzeykent Marketplace on March 12 at 20:30. All citizens have been invited to this meeting.
