The 80-member Party Assembly, determined following the CHP's 39th Ordinary Congress, elected its Central Executive Board (MYK) members during its first meeting. Diyarbakır Deputy Sezgin Tanrıkulu was appointed as the MYK member responsible for Human Rights following the meeting, which lasted approximately two hours.

A STRIKING MOMENT DURING BUDGET TALKS

While deliberations on the 2026 Central Government Budget and the 2024 Final Account Proposal continued in the TBMM General Assembly, a striking scene was captured in the parliamentary lobby during a break.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli was in the lobby to chat with deputies who were taking advantage of the break. Shortly after, CHP's Sezgin Tanrıkulu was among those who joined the conversation.

HE SHOOK HANDS SAYING "CONGRATULATIONS"

When Tanrıkulu approached him, Bahçeli stood up to shake his hand and congratulated him on his new MYK role.

During the same break, Future Party (Gelecek Partisi) Deputy Sema Silkin Ün also greeted Bahçeli. MHP female deputies also came to Bahçeli's side to take a photograph.
