AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan traveled to Egypt from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by private jet for an official visit.

During the visit, which took place after 11 years, Erdoğan was welcomed with an official ceremony by Egyptian President Sisi. Erdoğan held a meeting with Sisi.

This meeting between Erdoğan and Sisi, whom he had addressed with the labels "putschist, tyrant, and murderer" until a short time ago, was criticized by opposition parties.
