'Edited' video of IMM President İmamoğlu from AKP trolls
As local elections approach, political competition is heating up. While the intensity of statements made by the parties increases day by day, fake videos and fabricated news about candidates are also coming to the fore. Most recently, an edited video created to portray Ekrem İmamoğlu in a negative light has been circulated on social media.
In these days when the political agenda is entirely focused on the local elections, a fake video prepared to put Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu in a difficult position in the race has drawn attention.
The latest move by 'trolls' on social media has been a fake video. A video in which IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu's voice was altered through editing was circulated on the social media platform X.
In the fake video in question, it is noticeable that İmamoğlu's lip movements and voice do not match.
MURAT ONGUN REACTED TO THE EDITED VIDEO
A post regarding the edited video also came from Murat Ongun.
Reacting to the fake video, Ongun stated, “Our opponent is trying something in terms of forgery! The fake bus business, the fake drone business, the fake voice imitation business, the fake citizen business...”
