Exposed in Parliament! HEDEP's Gergerlioğlu reveals AKP members receiving double salaries

Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP) Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, speaking in Parliament on behalf of his group, revealed the AKP members who receive double salaries one by one.

According to the report in Bianet, Gergerlioğlu stated the following in his speech:

RTÜK CHAIRMAN ŞAHİN IS ALSO ON THE LIST

“Fahrettin Altun receives 2 salaries, including from the Presidential Communications Directorate and as a board member of Borsa Istanbul; Erişah Arıcan is the Chairman of the Board of Borsa Istanbul and Deputy Chairman of the Wealth Fund; Alpaslan Çakar is a Board Member of the Wealth Fund and General Manager of Ziraat Bank. Cemil Ertem, my goodness, he receives not 2, but three salaries. He serves as Chief Advisor to the President, a member of the Presidential Economic Policies Board, and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Vakıfbank. The list continues with Adnan Ertem, Mücahit Demirtaş, Meltem Taylan Aydın, Ebubekir Şahin, and Sezai Uçarmak.”

"YOU HAVE DONE WORSE THAN THE WOLF"

Stating that they came to these positions by reading the poems of Necip Fazıl, Gergerlioğlu said:

“What kind of business is this? Do you not fear God? What was Necip Fazıl saying in his poem 'Destan'? 'While ten slaves wait for God's ten coins/Nine for one person, one coin for nine people/Even a wolf would not make this distribution if it were king over the lambs.' You said this; you have done worse than the wolf. Look, again, you came with the poems of Mehmet Akif; what was the late Mehmet Akif saying, in reference to Caliph Umar? 'If a wolf snatches a sheep on the banks of the Tigris/Divine justice will come and ask Umar for it.' He was describing the justice of Caliph Umar. Where are you? At the exact opposite.”

"THE RIGHTS OF THE ORPHAN..."

Addressing the AKP MPs, Gergerlioğlu finally said:

“You also have a sack on your back, filled only with money. You filled them from the public treasury, from the state coffers, and you are galloping toward your homes. You are pocketing the rights and legal entitlements of the orphan with these 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 salaries. Is there no one among you who fears God?"

"Look, the list is here, friends, we are telling the plain truth, why don't you say a single word? This is forbidden, it is haram! Is there anyone among you who can say it is 'halal'? These are haram, this is haram wealth!”
