Flash local election decision from Ümit Özdağ! They will not field candidates in 2 provinces...
Victory Party (Zafer Partisi) Chairman Ümit Özdağ announced that they will not field candidates in Kars and Iğdır in the local elections.
Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ, speaking at a press conference held at a hotel in Bursa, noted that their membership, which was 26 thousand before the May 14 elections, has now exceeded 80 thousand.
Stating that his party is on the rise, Özdağ said, "We will enter these elections as the Victory Party in 79 provinces and their districts on our own. We are only not fielding candidates in Kars and Iğdır. We have decided to support a patriotic candidate against the HDP there. We will conduct these elections without any alliances."
Criticizing the opposition, Özdağ spoke as follows:
"Even before he was elected, the new chairman of the CHP explained the reason for the change in leadership in the CHP as the alienation of HDP voters due to the alliance made with the Victory Party in the second round of the Presidential elections. We also suggest that the Republican People's Party Chairman walk arm in arm with Selahattin Demirtaş. They do not deserve anything better."
Reminding that there are figures who have resigned from the IYI Party, Özdağ used the expression, "Our doors are wide open to our friends from the IYI Party."
